Youth Cabinet Roadshows/Surgeries
The Worcestershire Youth Cabinet and Members of Youth Parliament and are planning on coming out into all the districts and running 'surgeries' in various venues that have open access/ regular groups of young people attending.The aims of these surgeries are:
• For the Cabinet and MYP's to meet young people.
• To find out what issues are affecting young people and acted on it accordingly.
• For Cabinet and MYP's to build links with local workers and Forums
• Consultations results will feed into the Children and Young People's plan.
• The cabinet will hold an event in national Youth Work with there plan for the next year.
The visits will take place all over the summer, and I would like to ask for your support in hosting a surgery in your centre or centres.
If you know of any non-Youth Support centres that you think will keen on holding a Youth Cabinet / Youth Parliament surgery please email me their details so that I can get in touch.
The Youth Cabinet have had posters designed and printed which can be provided (copy attached) to advertise this in local libraries, community centre's etc. This will also be displayed on the Plasma screens at county Hall, on the youth cabinet website and once we have dates will go out in the local paper/ radio.
Please could get you let me know the days and times for your centre (as I know many of you have packed summer programmes).
