Wyre Forest District - Diamond Jubilee Funding

Diamond Jubilee Fund Application
Form reference: 30328
Guidelines for Applicants
Over the Diamond Jubilee Central weekend (2nd – 5th June 2012) communities will come together to mark 60 years of The Queen’s Reign.

Wyre Forest District Council’s Diamond Jubilee Fund is available to community groups in the district who wish to support The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Fund is intended to support local events which will involve everyone in the neighbourhood. The event may be in a street, village hall, local sports club or local park. WFDC has allocated £10,000 and it is anticipated that grants will be proportional to the size of event and the number of people involved. Grants are likely to be from £50 - £1,000.

Nationally Sunday 3rd June 2012 will be “The Big Jubilee Lunch” building on the Big Lunch initiative; people will be encouraged to share lunch with neighbours and friends as part of the celebrations.

To be eligible for a grant from the fund you must:
• Be a local organisation - such as a voluntary group, society, residents association, parish council
• Provide a detailed breakdown of what you need the grant for
• Use the WFDC logo on any publicity
• Complete a simple final evaluation

We could contribute towards things like:
• A street party
• A parade
• A band
• Tree planting

We will not fund:
• Alcohol
• Commercial organisations
• More than one application from the same group

The closing date for applications will be Friday, 17th February 2012. Notification of successful grants will be made by Friday 16th March 2012.
