Worcestershire County County VCS Grants Round 7
Round 7 of Worcestershire County Council's Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) grants opened on Tuesday 1st March. This round of grants will be seeking applications from organisations which develop diversity in the community.
A total of £10,000 is available for grants to help VCS organisations celebrate diversity through raising knowledge and understanding and encouraging interaction through a range of activities, such as a celebration day in the community. The maximum to be applied for under this grant is £1,000.
Previous successful applications for this grant have held events including a day celebrating the diversity of the deaf and showcasing the history and culture around deafness and a community event looking at food from around the world.
Councillor Simon Geraghty, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member for Planning, Economy and Performance, said: "These grants offer local organisations a great opportunity to put on events and activities that will help to increase knowledge and understanding of various different sections of the community. This kind of educational and interactive activity can really help to bring communities together."
