WORCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL FOR VOLUNTARY YOUTH SERVICES (WCVYS) MEMBERSHIP SURVEY
Service to members needs to be central to the work of WCVYS. There are currently close on 120 organisations in membership across Worcestershire and it is important to WCVYS that we retain and increase our membership.
Never has the voluntary youth sector been more important and it is crucial that the highest standard of provision is made to young people across the county. We know, like you know, that good enough is not good enough. We need to be striving for excellence at all levels and we need to go on being proud of the quality of service we all provide.
WCVYS is determined to help our members realise the best possible quality. However, in order to ensure we are providing the right services at the right standard we need to ask our members about whether we are offering the services and support they need. We need to know whether we are offering this at the right standard and in the most useful form.
We realise that different organisations will require different services, for example, large organisations may require different kinds of support than smaller ones. Similarly, branches of national organisations will want different services from WCVYS than local independent groups. However, WCVYS is anxious to receive all your views, whether you are big or small, local or national, rural or urban.
Furthermore, WCVYS wants to be continually improving what it offers to its members. So we are not only asking your opinions on what we currently offer, but we want to know what we should be offering and how it should be made available. Therefore, we are inviting our members to complete the member’s survey and return it to us by 5th November 2010. Every completed membership survey will be entered into a prize draw with a prize of £50.
In addition to this member’s survey we are also carrying out a separate survey into training needs. This is being conducted through a selected number of visits to member organisations.
