WCVYS "Highly Commended" in Safeguarding awards
At a time when safeguarding gets bad press these awards set out to redress that balance and celebrate the outstanding contribution that many people make to improving safeguarding.WCVYS was "Highly Commended" in the Stronger Partnerships category at the Regional Safeguarding Awards. With 61 nominations for the eight categories we were up against some strong competition.
This award recognises the contribution of all partners over a number of years. Cathy Clement's work was at the heart of our success but it was the clear benefits of partnership working that was recognised. We have all had our part to play in ensuring that WCVYS "has credibility with strategic partners and is also trusted by VCS organisations."
