Two year foundation degree opportunity
Warwickshire Integrated Youth Support Services working in partnership to develop the integrated youth support services workforce across the West Midlands region.Are you contributing to the lives of young people through voluntary or paid work within an organisation offering support and development opportunities to young people?

Warwickshire IYSS has secured external funding to sponsor 25 people to undertake a two year foundation degree from September 2010. Individual students will need to pay only £500 per year, (normal course costs are £3,250 per year). Students can apply for a student loan to cover the cost of the degree.
The Young People Services foundation degree offered by the University of Worcester is a recognised entry level qualification that will enhance your standing within integrated youth support services. The course also offers a route to a professional youth work qualification (JNC award validated by the National Youth Agency) should you wish to extend your studies.
You can make an application if:
• You have substantial experience working with young people within a voluntary or statutory organisation
• Your experience has been gained through working in paid or voluntary work with young people
• If you are employed you will need support from your employer who must identify a suitable mentor to support you with work based learning elements of the course
• If you are not employed we will help you find a suitable mentor

Please note we are holding two selection days at Worcester University on 12th May and 10th June. The University will be allocating places after the first selection day.
