Schools and Play
Schools are affected by, and have an effect on the wider world that children and young people inhabit.
If children and young people are denied play opportunities this will have an impact on school life as a whole. Increasingly the non-school environment is perceived as unsafe for children’s play, and schools are one of the few places left where parents still feel it safe to send their children.
This offers schools the opportunity to be part of the process of reawakening parents, children and young people to the possibilities and benefits of play.
