WCVYS are committed to supporting and improving all aspects safeguarding children and young people.The Guidance Notes on Safeguarding Children and Young People, which was launched at the VCS conference on 7th March 2008, was circulated with the April 2008 edition of our newsletter.
This 72 page booklet provides lots of information and sample documents for workers, volunteers, management committee members and trustees in voluntary and community sector organisations. Copies can be obtained from the WCVYS Office. We are looking to ensure that the message gets into all VCS groups working with children and young people.
An electronic version can be downloaded below. Normal printing will give an A4 'large print' version of the booklet. If your printer has a 'pamphlet' option you can produce an A5 booklet similar to that which we can provide from the office.
WCVYS works closely with the Worcestershire Safeguarding Children Board and further resources and information can be found on their website.
