For the last three years WCVYS has funded its work around Safeguarding and Workforce Development through a contract with the Children’s Workforce Development Council. This work has included:
• producing the Guidance Document
• the leaflets such as those for trustees, about CAF and the Management of Allegations
• supporting Sound Systems
• delivering Child Protection Training
• running the Safeguarding Workshops
• disseminating information about safeguarding, the ISA and workforce development issues through emails and newsletters
• subsidising the CRB Service.
Herefordshire CVYS have been contracted to evaluate this work.
It is hoped the evaluation will look at how the work was delivered, look at how it could be improved, identify any gaps and make recommendations for the future. It is hoped the evaluation will enable WCVYS to bid for funds so this work may be continued.
It would be very helpful, therefore, if you could let HCVYS know your views about the different aspects of the work and its value to your organisation or group. You can do this in a number of ways:
Focus Groups
By attending one of the focus group meetings which will be run by Richard Betterton from HCVYS on:
Tuesday 9 March at 2.30pm or 6.00pm.
