National School Grounds Week

This year, National School Grounds Week (7-11th June 2010) is this year encouraging schools to get involved in an ‘Exhibition Mission’ to exhibit the benefits of outdoor learning by turning their grounds into art galleries.

LTL’s aim is to get as many UK schools as possible to pick a project, exhibit their work, and temporarily change their grounds into a public art display. They are also encouraging the participating schools and early years settings to open their ‘Gallery in the Grounds’ to parents and the wider community.

For more information, go to LTL's National School Grounds page.

Further resources for teachers to use during the week are available from TES connect.

Play @Worcestershire has produced a briefing paper on the use of school grounds (attached).
