National Play Day
Wednesday 4 August 2010 is Playday, the annual celebration of children's right to play.
On Playday and throughout the summer, thousands of children, young people and communities will get out to play at hundreds of locally organised events across the UK.
Playday is the biggest play sector event in the calendar. It’s a great opportunity for children and young people to have serious fun, and it also provides an opportunity to campaign on serious issues affecting children’s play.
Playday is coordinated by Play England, working in partnership with Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland.
This year’s Playday campaign is Our place.
Our place puts children at the heart of our communities, and asks everyone, young and old, to help create better places for all of us to live and play.
