Managing risk in play provision:

Play England has published a briefing for risk managers in local authorities and other
public and voluntary agencies that manage play provision. This briefing builds on the
Play Safety Forum position statement and the recent implementation guide, and
argues for a balanced approach to play safety: one that ensures that overall goals
and objectives are not compromised by excessive risk aversion.

This is one of a number of briefings including:

  • Developing an adventure playground ;the essential elements.
  • Play provision, early years and OFSTED
  • Play and Exercise in Early Years: Physically active play in early childhood provision
