Latest VCS Grants Awarded
Worcestershire County Council has announced the latest grants awarded to Voluntary and Community Organisations across the county.
Applications were invited from organisations interested in celebrating diversity across Worcestershire through increasing knowledge and understanding of different parts of the community and encouraging interaction.
This round saw three organisations awarded grants of £1,000 each:
· I-Camp in Redditch,
· The Worcestershire Malayalee Cultural Association in Worcester, and
· Alvechurch Communities Together.
Councillor Simon Geraghty, Worcestershire County Council's Cabinet Member for Planning, Economy and Performance, said: "This latest round of grants will help those organisations within Worcestershire whose aim is to bring together the many diverse cultures from within the county. I'm really pleased that these grants are on offer for this great work, which is all to often overlooked."
