The free half day West Midlands seminar entitled Keeping the Spotlight on Fuel Poverty – action needed to tackle fuel poverty and child poverty in England is the last in a series of 9 taking place in England . The event aims to look at fuel poverty and child poverty, both regionally and nationally, in the wake of the Child Poverty Bill. It is funded by the Department of Energy and Climate Change and EDF Energy.
The seminar will also contain an overview of fuel poverty from NEA and a representative from the Department of Energy and Climate Change, regional action on fuel poverty and child poverty, input from the energy suppliers' perspective and a couple of case studies demonstrating practical action on both fuel poverty and child poverty. The session ends with questions for the panel and round table discussions over lunch.
