Invitation to 2012 Open Weekend Workshop

Lets have a festival of 2012 Olympic inspired events happening across Worcestershire on the Open Weekend of 23 - 25 July!

2012 Open Weekend Workshop: 25 February

For organisations considering taking part in this years Open Weekend on 23 - 25 July, there will be a workshop in Birmingham. The invitation is attached – please circulate this as widely as possible to organisations who may be interested in being part of the weekend. We’re looking for events which respond in some way to being part of the London 2012 Games programme – existing events which augment or develop their programme to reflect the Open Weekend, or events staged specially to coincide with the weekend

Benefits of joining in the Open Weekend
Access to non-commercial Olympic brand
· The London 2012 branding is available to events which are part of the Open Weekend. Open Weekend events are widely publicised and linking to this national festival can add significant profile to an event

Inspiration of the Olympic brand
· Strength (positive buzz) of the Olympic brand can create the potential to access new and broader markets and re-brand messages to existing markets

Use of the Raising Our Game Olympic brand
· Worcestershire is represented by the Raising Our Game (ROG) brand, which has been endorsed by the London Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) and represents the Olympic values. Local groups and organisations are able to use the logo (and other promotional material) at any Olympic themed event or on promotional material

· Ambassadors can connect with key target markets in a way that is inspirational and informative
