Global launch of new resources to prevent human trafficking
In partnership with the United Nations Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking (UN.GIFT) and the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), a multilingual online broadcast will tell young people worldwide about:- what human trafficking is;
- trafficking for sexual exploitation;
- trafficking for forced labour;
- the signs of trafficking;
- what they can do about it.
Free resources to download for students and teachers in ten different languages will then be available online. This will contribute to preventative efforts against human trafficking in source, transit, and destination countries, including the internal trafficking of British young people here in the UK.
1. Register now at http://www.stopthetraffik.org/startfreedom/ to see the English version of the resources.
2. Spread the word and watch the launch of Start Freedom on or after 14th October.
3. Use the resources with the young people that you work with, and tell us what you’re doing.
We hope we can work with you to tackle human trafficking, and we look forward to hearing from you.
