Enhanced Support to Separating Parents

In December 2008, the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) announced plans to develop pilots that explored how to deliver enhanced support to separating parents. The aim is to minimise stress, conflict and potential poverty for parents, and to enable fathers and mothers to minimise the negative impact of separation on the child. The pilots are being supported through the investment to tackle child poverty. DCSF is now inviting local authorities, Primary Care Trusts and third sector organisations to submit expressions of interest to deliver the pilots.

Deadline for expressions of interest is 22 April 2009.
