DCSF BIENNIAL OVERVIEW REPORTS OF SERIOUS CASE REVIEWS

The Department for Children, Schools and Families has recently published two overview reports, which analyse the findings of Serious Case Reviews during 2001 - 2003 and 2003 - 2005. The purpose of these national overviews is to draw out the key findings from the case reviews and identify their implications for policy and practice. Each of the reports has an Executive Summary and the second has useful "practice notes".

The findings of these reports will be integrated into WSCB's core training and they are planning to hold a seminar on Serious Case Reviews later in the year.
